Question 1

What is 1connect.me?

Accepted Answer

1connect.me is a private, 1-to-1 communication platform engineered exclusively for direct peer-to-peer messaging. It uses AES-GCM end-to-end encryption, collects zero user data, requires no phone number, and works on any browser without installing an app.

Question 2

How do I send a private message without giving my phone number?

Accepted Answer

1connect.me lets you connect using only an email address or a unique Connect Key — no phone number required. Generate your secure key in the app, share it with one trusted person, and your conversations are protected by AES-GCM end-to-end encryption from the first message.

Question 3

Is 1connect.me safe for private communication?

Accepted Answer

Yes. 1connect.me uses client-side AES-GCM encryption, meaning messages are encrypted before leaving your device. The platform has a strict zero data collection policy, no advertising model, and no third-party data sharing. It is purpose-built for exactly two people — no groups, no broadcast channels.

Question 4

Does 1connect.me collect or sell my data?

Accepted Answer

No. 1connect.me operates on a strict zero data collection policy. There is no advertising revenue model, no behavioral tracking, no third-party data brokering, and no metadata profiling. The service is funded entirely by user subscriptions.

Question 5

Do I need to install an app to use 1connect.me?

Accepted Answer

No installation is required. 1connect.me works directly in any modern web browser on phones, tablets, and desktops. Simply create an account and share a secure link to start communicating instantly.

Question 6

How is 1connect.me different from WhatsApp or Signal?

Accepted Answer

1connect.me is dedicated exclusively to 1-to-1 private communication. Unlike WhatsApp (which requires a phone number and is owned by a data-driven advertising company) or Signal (which includes groups and requires a phone number), 1connect.me requires no phone number, stores no metadata, runs in any browser without installation, and is architecturally designed for exactly two people.
